College Freezes Tuition for Third Consecutive Year; Rensselaer County Approves 2025-26 Budget

麻豆影视 has held tuition stable for three years making the college one of the most affordable higher education options in the state. Full-time students who are New York State residents and online students will pay $2,528 per semester (plus fees). Part-time resident students will pay $211 per credit hour. (See Tuition and Fees).
For the current academic year, Hudson Valley has the fourth lowest tuition cost among all 30 SUNY community colleges.
The Rensselaer County Legislature approved the college’s $111,593,770 budget for fiscal year 2025-26 on Tuesday, July 8. The college is projecting a Fall 2025 enrollment of just over 10,000 students which reflects a 5% increase compared to the current academic year. This marks the fourth consecutive year of enrollment growth for the largest community college in Upstate New York.
“Hudson Valley continues to be a gateway to opportunity for both advanced education and essential career training,” said Officer in Charge Louis Coplin. “With new SUNY initiatives like the Reconnect program, we are again seeing strong interest for the fall term.”
Earlier this spring, the college released its Fall 2025 semester schedule, which includes more than 2,000 course sections beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2. The majority of classes are scheduled to be held on campus but, as it has for several decades, the college also will continue to offer a large number of courses in an online or hybrid learning format. Among its more than 80 degree and certificate programs, more than 20 are offered online.
Holding the line on student tuition is just one of a number of actions the college has taken recently that continue to make Hudson Valley more accessible to students. This summer, the college is providing a full scholarship for high school students completing summer session courses; initiating programs to prepare students with disabilities for the college environment; and offering low cost “head start” workshops for those planning to start their college education this fall.
The college’s Admissions Office is holding an Instant Admission Day, Wednesday, July 9, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., where students interested in enrolling for the fall can complete many of the steps to ready themselves for beginning their studies this fall.
