Basic Watercolor
Join us to discover your own unique ways of using transparent watercolor paint, from free experimentation to more controlled approaches. Explore mixing and layering colors, while observing flowers, still life, and landscape. Learn color theory, pencil sketching, composition, drawing directly with a brush, and planning area of wash. Everyone is welcome, both first-time and longtime painters. Please bring whatever materials you may already have, or purchase the following supplies: a pan set of transparent watercolors; a pointed round watercolor brush (approximately size 6; handle will be shorter than an oil painting brush); a 9鈥 x 12鈥 pad of 140# watercolor paper; masking tape; pencil; two water containers; and two pieces of cardboard (slightly larger than size of paper).

Birthday Cards
There鈥檚 truly nothing more heartfelt than receiving a hand-stamped card made with love. Whether you鈥檙e new to stamping or a seasoned crafter, you鈥檒l enjoy creating meaningful cards your friends and family will treasure. Come stamp, relax, and leave with cards ready to brighten someone鈥檚 day! In each class you will create three cards with envelopes. Please bring a pair of sharp scissors and adhesive, such as craft glue or a tape runner, with you to class. All levels are welcome in beginner classes. For intermediate and advanced classes, prior stamping knowledge is preferred, as the class builds on basic stamping skills. Students who have to withdraw must do so at least one week prior to the start of the course for a refund.

Create cards to celebrate the special people in your life using tools and techniques such as masking, stencils and watercolor. Some stamping knowledge preferred but not necessary.

Join the experienced educators from Art in Mind in creating a uniquely painted canvas tote bag! Learn the techniques for stenciling fabric as we walk you through this fun project. A huge variety of all-season stencils will be available. You will be painting on a 14鈥 x 14鈥 canvas tote bag, which you can keep for yourself or give as a holiday gift! All supplies included. Dot Mandala Mirrored Wall Hanging
Elevate your home decor and your artistic practice in this immersive two-session series that moves beyond small projects and simple cutouts to allow students to master the intricate geometry of a larger-scale mandala. By integrating a mirror, students will create a functional piece of art that captures light and focus from every angle. Students must have taken at least two courses from instructor MaryMargaret (Dots4Days) to enroll in this class, as it will bypass the beginner tool descriptions and introductions and build on what students have learned in previous sessions to expand their grasp of this meditative art form. All tools and supplies, including a written handout of step-by-step instructions, will be provided. Introduction to Jewelry Making
Come enjoy a relaxing and creative experience, learn basic jewelry-making techniques, and leave with a handcrafted jewelry set you'll be proud to wear or give as a gift! Each participant will make one pair of earrings and one matching necklace using themed design kits. There will be several kit options to inspire your creativity, including seasonal designs, festive holiday styles, elegant crystals, and colorful everyday pieces. You'll also be able to customize your jewelry with your choice of earring backs (hooks, posts, or lever-backs) and necklace length. Mix and match colors and components to create jewelry that reflects your personal style! No experience is necessary. All materials, tools, and step-by-step instruction, including live demonstrations and individual guidance throughout the class, will be provided.

Introduction to Quilling
Learn the basics of quilling (coiling and shaping thin strips of colorful paper) to create a beautiful design suitable for hanging, mailing or framing. Quilling requires a little patience and dexterity, and a willingness to get glue on your fingers, but you will love the results! Alyssa will walk you through the basics of creating shapes, and assist as you create your own unique design.

Make Your Own Roll Ons
Let's make some glass roller bottle roll-ons, ones you will use every day! One for sleep, Congestion, Tummy Ache, Bobo, Muscle Rub, Anxiety, Headaches and just Happy. We will make eight different roll-ons for sleep, happiness, congestion, tummy ache, boo-boos, muscle rub, anxiety, and headaches, all using coconut oil and essential oils. Students will leave with eight easy-to-transport roller bottles and the recipe to make some more at home. Those under 14 must be accompanied by a class-registered adult. Making DIY Perfume
Join us to learn how to make perfume using natural ingredients and essential oils. We will make two solid perfumes, two spray perfumes and two roller ball perfumes using different ingredients and a choice of many different essential oils. Students will go home with six completed perfumes and the recipes to make more. Those under 14 must be accompanied by class-registered adult. Join us at Art in Mind Studio for a unique class painting and pouring resin to create a beautiful food-safe tabletop board! First, you will be walked through painting on a high-quality real wood charcuterie board. Then you will learn to pour resin to complete your piece. Please be aware that your piece will have to stay at the studio for one to two weeks for the resin to cure.

Sewing for Beginners
In this introductory class, you will learn about your sewing machine, including how to thread it, wind the bobbin, set the tension, and test it. Bring your sewing machine, extension cord, manual, thread, fabric scraps, scissors, straight pins and a seam ripper to class.

Sewing for Beginners Level 2
If you are totally new to sewing, the Sewing for Beginners class is a prerequisite for this class, where we will build on your beginner skills to make a simple boxy pouch project. These make great Christmas gifts when made with fabrics chosen with your recipient in mind! Bring your sewing machine, extension cord, manual, two fat quarters in coordinating fabric with matching thread, 12 - 16-inch zipper (bring the zipper foot for your machine), ruler, scissors, straight pins and a seam ripper with you to class.

Shoebox Basket
This rectangular basket is 10鈥 long by 5鈥 wide and 8鈥 tall, woven on a wooden 鈥淒鈥 handle. It is woven with natural and dyed reed and is finished off with an accent of Indian curls made from ash.

This taller, narrower version of the market basket is great to use as a tote basket or next to your favorite chair for magazines. It is woven on a wooden 鈥淒鈥 handle with natural reed and accented with dyed reed and measures 18鈥 long by 10鈥 high by 5鈥 wide.

Whipped Body Butter
Learn how to make creamy, luxurious and nourishing whipped body butter using shea butter. This is a light, fluffy and non-greasy moisturizer, fragranced with essential oils, that your skin will love.
